EcoQuest 2: Lost Secret of the Rainforest is an educational adventure game based on scientifically accurate information, and the second game in the EcoQuest series. Your challenge is to prevent their extinction by poachers and other outlaws who would destroy the environment to satisfy their greed. Not only is this game entertaining, it helps to educate the people about the environment and creates awareness about the importance of conservation of the forest. As in EcoQuest I: The Search for Cetus, you will once again be adventuring with Adam, but now taking a voyage into the exciting Amazon exotic ecosystem for discovery.

EcoQuest 2STORY / GAMEPLAY
The story involves a boy named Adam Greene, who has the ability to talk to animals. Adam and his Father have travelled to South American Rainforest for the Ecology Emergency Network to develop sustainable products with some of the local tribes. At the start of this game a thief steals their luggage though. As Adam's father runs off to sort this problem out, a pair of friendly river otters take Adam back to the rainforest. Adam explores this new place until he meets ruthless Slaughter, a man with an obsession for gold and no respect for the environment who destroys the forests and its inhabitants for money. Slaughter kidnaps Adam from the rainforest, and it's up to Adam to escape and find his way to the Lost City of Gold, before Slaughter get him.
The control interface hasn't changed from the original, and only minor graphical and sound upgrades are presented in this sequel. What has changed however is the size of the game, which is at least double that of the original. The ability to record and view various rainforest facts also makes this a great educational game.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Technically EcoQuest 2 is great and it is obvious that a great deal of care and attention has been taken over the graphics. The exotic Amazon locations themselves are finely sketched, nothing to complain about or to get overly excited about, for that matter, offering a total of 256 colors on screen and nicely drawn and animated characters.
Sound effects and music are similarly effective. Occasionally there are a few tunes and sampled sound effects including speech.
